Soteria Koinonia Beliefs

Interdenominational:

I follow Christ, not a denomination. The Bible warns us about divisions among the church body taking away focus from Christ in 1 Corinthians 1:12 when Christ’s followers aligned themselves with specific leaders (Paul, Apollos, Cephas, or only Christ), rather than being united. It warns against sectarianism and creating factions based on personalities or denominational labels, emphasizing that Christ is not divided.

Womenโ€™s Role:

Women were disciples , prophets (Anna the prophet), pastors (Priscilla), deacons, and teachers in the Bible.

Acts 2 Continuationism:

The power of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2, the day of pentecost, continues, we receive the gifts of the Spirit, to fully walk in them. The church was born on day of Pentecost, 3,000 believers were added to 120. There was breaking of bread, prayers, fellowship, they were doing rapid-fire miracles that attracted people. This was all for the glory of God, and spreading of the gospel.

Jesus Christ is the Only Mediator:ย

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

By Grace, Through Faith, Not Works:

We are saved by faith through grace and our faith will naturally bear good faithful fruit. That is what is meant by faith without works is dead.

God’s Ultimate Goal is Discipleship for Humanity

Salvation is not just for ourselves, but to save others: The parable of the Wicked Tenants, found in Matthew 21:33-46 (also in Mark 12:1โ€“12 and Luke 20:9โ€“18), tells us so.

Sola Scriptura :

Purpose:

Evangelization to Unbelivers:

Acts 17 describes how Paul was the first disciple called to evangelize to Gentiles and pagans (โ€œto the unknown god): in Aeopagus, where Paul even quotes pagan poets to help them understand Jesus Christ as the way and the truth.

Growth and Exhortation of Church Body Through Theological Study

The Bible says church is for believers in Ephesians 4:11-12. Evangelism is seeker-sensitive, but the body of Christ is meant to grow in depth and study, not be dialed down in its congregation.
